Cloud computing is a model for delivering information technology services in which resources are retrieved from the internet through web-based tools and applications, as opposed to a direct connection to a server. It allows individuals and organizations to use and manage applications, storage and other computing resources over the internet. These resources can be easily scaled up or down to match the needs of the user, and are typically billed on a pay-per-use basis. Cloud computing can be broken down into three main categories: Infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS), and Software as a service (SaaS).
